Job Description

Associate Director, APAC Human Resources

We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative HR Operations leader to join our team, with strong business acumen, particularly in technology and engineering. As the leader of the APAC Global Delivery Team, you will be an integral part of HR’s operating model transformation, working directly with business and global HR Partners to ensure the delivery of global HR strategies and to address organizational priorities.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for leading end-to-end HR service delivery across the Asia Pacific region, ensuring scalable, compliant, and high-quality HR operations aligned to global standards. With oversight of a diverse HR Delivery team spread across the Asia Pacific region, you will work closely with our HR Business Partners and functional Centers of Excellence (COE) to drive and deliver on HR strategic priorities in areas such as Talent Acquisition, Succession Planning, Learning and Development, Organizational Restructuring, Total Rewards, Employee Relations and HR Tech and Analytics.

Reporting to the Director of HR Delivery & Employee Relations, you will leverage tools and digital solutions to optimize HR support delivered to multiple business units across the organization, working in close collaboration with cross functional teams within HR, Global Business Services (GBS) and IT; advancing the HR operating model—to deliver seamless and consistent employee and manager experience.

Based in a new innovation and technology hub in Shenzhen, you will also play a key role in our exciting Growth Strategy and ambition to accelerate the Audio Technologies and Automotive businesses; providing critical HR guidance to new area leaders, as the company extends Bose Corp.’s technology leadership globally. 

Key Responsibilities

APAC Regional HR Operations Leadership

• Lead HR Operations delivery across APAC, ensuring consistent execution of global processes with appropriate regional adaptations.
• Oversee a distributed team across multiple APAC markets, driving performance, capability building, and engagement.
• Act as the regional point of accountability for operational HR outcomes and service delivery excellence.

Employee Relations & Workplace Governance

• Oversee complex employee relations matters, including investigations, policy interpretation, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant handling of workplace issues, ensuring adherence to local labor laws, country specific requirements and company policies.
• Provide guidance to HRBPs and business leaders on sensitive or high-risk cases.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

• Drive simplification, automation and standardization of HR processes across the region.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Partner with global HR and GBS teams to implement enhancements aligned with the broader operating model.
• Leverage HR systems (e.g. Workday) and case management tools to enhance service delivery.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner closely with:
  • HR Business Partners (strategic alignment)
  • COEs (program execution)
  • GBS (service delivery)
  • Regional business leaders (operational support)
• Serve as a trusted advisor on HR operations and employee experience.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with depth in HR operations, HR delivery, or employee relations.
• Proven leadership experience managing regional or global HR teams.
• Strong understanding of APAC labor markets and regulatory requirements.
• Solid business acumen in technology and engineering.
• Experience in shared services or GBS models preferred.
• Strong operational mindset with ability to balance service delivery and employee experience.
• Analytical, with ability to use data to drive decisions.
