Job Description

About the Role:

The Google Workspace L2 Support Engineer provides advanced technical support, administration, and incident resolution for the Google Workspace platform within enterprise environments. This role focuses on complex troubleshooting, platform stability, security enforcement, and SLA-driven service delivery to ensure seamless collaboration and productivity for our clients.

Your job responsibilities will cover the following:

Technical Support & Incident Management

• Handle L2 escalations from the Service Desk (L1), providing timely resolution for complex technical issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Gmail, Drive, Meet, Calendar, Groups, and other Google Workspace applications
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or critical incidents and implement preventive measures
• Ensure compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
• Document incidents, resolutions, and workarounds to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base

Administration & Configuration

• Manage user accounts, Organizational Units (OUs), groups, and licensing across the Google Workspace environment
• Configure and maintain mail routing settings, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records to ensure email security and deliverability
• Administer security policies including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Google Vault, and Context-Aware Access controls
• Support platform upgrades, migrations, and new feature rollouts in alignment with client requirements

Process & Collaboration

• Participate actively in change management and problem management processes following ITIL best practices
• Support automation initiatives using Google Admin SDK (GAM) and APIs to streamline operations and improve efficiency
• Liaise with Google Support for escalations, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with internal teams and clients
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Network, Security, and Application teams to deliver integrated solutions

 

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Google Workspace support and administration
• Experience supporting enterprise environments with 1,000+ users (preferred)
• Strong proficiency in Google Workspace administration, including user management, security configurations, and application troubleshooting
• In-depth knowledge of mail flow architecture and email security policies (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• Hands-on experience with Google Vault, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Scripting and automation skills using GAM (Google Apps Manager) and Google Workspace APIs (preferred)
