Content Marketing Specialist

We’re looking for a Content Marketing Specialist who thinks like a journalist and writes like a storyteller. 

You’ll be part of a team that operates like the ReliaQuest newsroom: finding interesting stories, researching important topics, interviewing the people closest to the action, and turning what you learn into compelling content. 

This isn’t a role where you’ll simply wait for someone to hand you a blog topic. We want someone who is curious about what’s happening across cybersecurity, asks great questions, finds interesting angles, and knows how to turn complex information into content people want to read. 

You’ll have opportunities to work directly with customers, executives, threat researchers, security practitioners, and market experts while helping shape the stories ReliaQuest tells. 

The everyday hustle: 

• Research, write, edit, and publish compelling content including blogs, thought leadership articles, case studies, white papers, digital guides, solution briefs, newsletters, and educational resources. 

• Identify new editorial opportunities by staying close to cybersecurity trends, industry news, emerging technologies, customer challenges, and developments across ReliaQuest. 

• Interview customers, executives, threat researchers, Sales, Customer Success, GreyMatter Operations, Product, and other stakeholders to uncover valuable insights and stories. 

• Develop original story ideas, recommend editorial angles, and proactively bring new content opportunities to the team. 

• Translate complex technical and cybersecurity subjects into clear, accurate, and engaging content for different audiences. 

• Create customer case studies, testimonials, success stories, and other materials that showcase real-world results. 

• Develop executive thought leadership by capturing perspectives, conducting interviews, and writing articles or commentary. 

• Support product announcements and launches with compelling editorial content that explains what has changed and why it matters. 

• Write webinar abstracts, newsletters, editorial email copy, and supporting content for marketing programs. 

• Collaborate with Technical Product Marketing and GTM Product Marketing to turn product expertise and market insights into publishable stories. 

• Research emerging subjects and independently develop educational content with input from internal subject matter experts. 

• Optimize content for search engines and AI-driven discovery, including SEO, AEO, content refreshes, and relevant topic coverage. 

• Review and edit content created by other teams to maintain editorial quality, accuracy, and consistency with the ReliaQuest brand. 

• Work with Social Media and Creative to extend stories into additional formats and channels. 

• Continuously identify gaps in editorial coverage and recommend new ways to keep customers and the market informed. 
  

Do you have what it takes? 

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 

• Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills. 

• Experience researching unfamiliar topics and turning complex information into engaging, understandable content. 

• Strong interviewing skills and the ability to work with subject matter experts to uncover relevant insights. 

• Experience producing multiple content formats, including long-form articles, blogs, guides, or case studies. 

• Strong curiosity and the ability to independently identify interesting topics and develop content ideas. 

• Ability to understand different audiences and adjust writing style, tone, and depth accordingly. 

• Strong attention to detail, research accuracy, and editorial quality. 

• Ability to manage multiple stories and deadlines while working independently and collaboratively. 

What makes you uncommon? 

• Experience writing about cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, enterprise technology, or SaaS. 

• A background in journalism, news reporting, technology publications, or editorial teams. 

• Experience interviewing executives, customers, or technical experts. 

• Experience writing customer case studies, executive thought leadership, or research-driven content. 

• Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization. 

• Familiarity with answer engine optimization (AEO), AI search, and evolving content discovery strategies. 

• Experience working with analyst research and industry publications. 

• A strong portfolio demonstrating original ideas, investigative curiosity, and compelling storytelling.
