Social Media Specialist

We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist who lives and breathes social media, loves creating content, and knows the difference between simply posting an announcement and making people genuinely care about it. 

This is a hands-on, creative role where you’ll write posts, develop concepts, publish content, and help shape how ReliaQuest shows up across social platforms. One day you might be bringing a new GreyMatter capability to life; the next, covering a college football partnership, capturing an event, highlighting an employee story, or finding a creative angle for a major company announcement. 

You’ll have the opportunity to tell stories from across the entire business while experimenting with fresh ideas, formats, and ways to engage our audiences.

The everyday hustle: 

• Write, create, schedule, publish, and manage social media content across ReliaQuest channels, including LinkedIn and other relevant platforms. 

• Bring product releases, customer stories, company announcements, cybersecurity research, partnerships, events, and community initiatives to life through engaging social content. 

• Develop creative, social-first ideas that go beyond traditional corporate announcements and promotional posts. 

• Create compelling hooks, captions, and storytelling approaches that capture attention while maintaining ReliaQuest’s brand voice. 

• Adapt content and creative approaches for different social platforms and audiences. 

• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Content, Creative, Communications, People, executives, and other departments to uncover stories worth sharing. 

• Develop social concepts for graphics, carousels, short-form videos, behind-the-scenes content, executive posts, and live event coverage. 

• Support content across the full business, including products, customers, thought leadership, hiring, company culture, partnerships, community programs, and major brand initiatives. 

• Help maintain a consistent ReliaQuest voice, tone, and message across social media. 

• Capture and develop timely social content around live events, conferences, sports partnerships, and company activities. 

• Stay connected to social media trends, platform updates, and relevant conversations to identify opportunities for fresh content. 

• Manage day-to-day publishing and the social calendar while keeping content accurate, timely, and aligned with company priorities. 

• Track social performance, learn what resonates with audiences, and recommend creative improvements. 

• Continuously experiment with new formats, storytelling ideas, and approaches that make ReliaQuest’s social presence stand out. 
  

Do you have what it takes? 

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 

• Professional experience creating, writing, scheduling, and publishing social media content for a business or brand. 

• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to create concise, attention-grabbing social copy. 

• Strong understanding of LinkedIn and familiarity with other major social platforms, content formats, and audience behaviors. 

• Ability to adapt tone, messaging, and storytelling approaches to different platforms while maintaining a consistent brand voice. 

• Experience using social publishing or management tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, or similar platforms. 

• Creative instincts for pairing copy with compelling graphics, videos, or other social-first content. 

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage a consistent publishing schedule. 

• Ability to collaborate with different departments and uncover stories happening across a business. 

• Enthusiasm for the hands-on work of creating, writing, and publishing content while bringing fresh ideas forward. 

• Familiarity with social media performance metrics and how to use results to improve content. 
  

What makes you uncommon? 

• Experience managing social media for a B2B technology, cybersecurity, or enterprise software company. 

• Experience creating or editing short-form videos, reels, carousels, or other social-native visual content. 

• Experience supporting live event coverage, sports or corporate partnerships, or employer-brand initiatives. 

• Ability to translate complex technical subjects into interesting, accessible social posts. 

• Experience creating executive thought leadership or managing executive social profiles. 

• An instinct for recognizing trends, cultural moments, and timely opportunities that make sense for a brand. 

• A portfolio demonstrating original social ideas, strong writing, creative storytelling, and content that stands out. 

• A track record of developing original social concepts rather than simply reposting existing marketing materials.
