Our team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company’s premier vacation brands including Disney’s Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club. 

We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest and Cast experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, PhotoPass and Merchandise lines of business, which includes Room and Tickets eCommerce and products such as Hey Disney!, MagicBand+, Disney Genie and Disney Genie+. 

 

The Lead Product Manager is responsible for managing the strategic direction of technology and digital experience for the Disney Cruise Line business. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Management, the Lead Product Manager collaborates with leadership to establish and execute commercial strategies across latest technologies.  

 

Key Areas of Focus include 

  

• Working with multiple products, teams, and interdisciplinary leaders in such areas as line of business Marketing, Sales, Technology, Operations, Project Management, Design, and Analytics to bring strategies to market that support business opportunities and enhance the digital Guest experience and increase online conversions and revenue. 

• Developing product strategies and implementation of capabilities and tactics that align with our strategic priorities, key performance indicators, and objectives & key results as defined by the business and our Technology & Digital organization.  

• Monitoring business and digital trends, Guest behaviors and expectations, emerging technologies and competitive intelligence to establish and prioritize the digital roadmap.  

• Cultivate a strong understanding of key performance indicators and regularly analyze weekly reports to detect trends and identify opportunities for enhancing digital performance.  

 

Responsibilities  

• Work to gather requirements for all aspects of complex projects, collaborating with all impacted teams including creative and technology for agreement.  

• Drive implementation of a business digital and technology roadmap by ensuring the development teams understand the product goals and priority.  

• Document features by translating the product concepts into user stories, epics and other appropriate product deliverables (e.g., project briefs, scope/requirement documents, Guest prioritized needs, etc.)  

• Primary representative for product management in all daily activities related to the roll-out of a product/enhancement, serving as an important resource for the team, escalating to leadership.  

• Lead the defect triage activities by working with technical, creative and production teams to identify cause through resolution, providing support and escalation for blockers/impediments.  

• Communicate with partners of multiple levels across Digital & Technology and the broader Disney organization through several mediums (ie. presentations, email, formal/informal meetings).  

 

Basic Qualifications  

• Minimum 7 years of product management experience in digital customer experience for a global or national brand(s), working with technology, design, project management, business and user experience teams.  

• Lead others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions. 

• Ability to use hard data to form assumptions and develop business cases.  

• Experience presenting out on Product performance and success of programs.  

• Ability to think strategically and guide ideas into action with a willingness to take personal initiative.  

• Experience collaborating with and achieve results through partnerships with others and the capability to interact within all leadership levels.  

• Experience identifying technical, user and business issues in a organization. Experience with Agile software development methodology. 

• Consumer digital commerce platform experience is preferred but not required.  

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• 5+ years experience in the digital industry
• Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive thinker with the ability to thrive in an often  
  ambiguous, fast-paced environment.  

• Strong analytical and financial skills. 

• Experience with innovative and emerging technologies. 

 

Education 

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study or equivalent experience 

 

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $150,500 - $201,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
